OUR SUN

The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System.  Its diameter is about 109 times that of Earth, and its mass is about 330,000 times that of Earth, accounting for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System.

1.Age
The Sun is 4.6 billion years old.Now it has crossed it's middle-aged. The Sun has already burned off about half of its store of Hydrogen. It has enough left to continue to burn Hydrogen for approximately another 5 billion years.

2.Size
The diameter of Our sun is approximately 1,392,684 km.Around one million Earths could fit inside the Sun.

3.Mass
The Sun contains 99.86% of the mass in the Solar System. The mass of the Sun is approximately 330,000 times greater than that of Earth.

4.Temperature
The temperature on the surface of the Sun is closer to 5,600 degrees Celsius. The temperature inside the Sun can reach 15 million degrees Celsius.

5.Shape
The Sun is an almost perfect sphere. There is only a 10 kilometre difference in its polar diameter compared to its equatorial diameter which is much less than earth's diameter difference.

6.Energy Source of Sun
The energy created by the Sun’s core is nuclear fusion. This huge amount of energy is produced when four hydrogen nuclei are combined into one helium nucleus.

7.Atmosphere of Sun
The heliosphere is the immense magnetic bubble containing our solar system, solar wind, and the entire solar magnetic field. It extends well beyond the orbit of Pluto.

" We live inside the atmosphere of Sun "

8.Solar Wind
Every second, the Sun sends to earth 10 times more neutrinos than the number of people on earth.

9. Power of Sunlight
Every second, the Sun sends to earth 10 times more neutrinos than the number of people on earth.

10.Future of Sun
In about 5 billion years, the Sun will deplete its supply of hydrogen and helium, turning into a red giant star, consuming Mercury and Venus and maybe even Earth.
